Upcoming Event: Vesak Day Celebration

WORLD VESAK DAY

The “World Vesak Day” is the day of marking the birth, enlightenment, and the passing away of the Buddha. All these events happened on the full moon day in May during the 5^th century B.C. The Buddha gave us a new vision to the life of whole civilization guided by ethical and humanitarian ideals. We declared May 01^st as the “World Vesak Day” in New England area. As Buddhism gains recognition across the globe, it is attracting ever-expanding circle of followers, especially in the Western culture. In 2000, United Nations formally declared the “World Vesak Day” in May, recognizing the tremendous impact of Buddhist teachings on humanity.
